Job Description:

Logistics and Dispatch Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Dispatch Planning & Coordination
  • Plan, schedule, and execute dispatches according to customer orders or production requirements.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate and timely dispatch.
  • Allocate vehicles and routes to ensure cost-efficient and on-time delivery.
  • Prepare and verify dispatch documentation (invoice, delivery challan, e-way bill, etc.).

 

  1. Logistics Management
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with transporters or courier partners.
  • Optimize transportation routes to reduce costs and transit times.

 

  1. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
  • Ensure proper loading/unloading and inventory accuracy during dispatch.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team to maintain dispatch readiness and stock availability.
  • Verify that goods are properly packed, labeled, and documented before dispatch.

 

  1. Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain and verify all logistics-related documents (GRN, LR, invoice, POD, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with government and company policies (GST, e-way bills, transport regulations).
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and internal reviews.

 

  1. Team & Vendor Management
  • Supervise and train logistics and dispatch staff.
  • Coordinate with drivers, transporters, and courier partners for smooth operations.
  • Handle escalations related to transport delays, damages, or losses.

 

  1. Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track dispatch performance metrics such as on-time delivery, freight cost, and transit losses.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch and logistics reports.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.

 

  1. Customer Coordination
  • Update customers or sales teams about dispatch status.
  • Handle delivery-related queries, delays, and complaints.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through efficient and transparent communication.

 

  1. Safety & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure all dispatch operations follow safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular checks on vehicles and packaging conditions.
  • Report and address any incidents or damages during transit.

 

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation management.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel / ERP / TMS systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple dispatches under pressure.
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills.

Experience: Min 1 Year

Salary: 15K to 20K
