Job Description:
Logistics and Dispatch Operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispatch Planning & Coordination
- Plan, schedule, and execute dispatches according to customer orders or production requirements.
- Coordinate with warehouse, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate and timely dispatch.
- Allocate vehicles and routes to ensure cost-efficient and on-time delivery.
- Prepare and verify dispatch documentation (invoice, delivery challan, e-way bill, etc.).
- Logistics Management
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with transporters or courier partners.
- Optimize transportation routes to reduce costs and transit times.
- Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
- Ensure proper loading/unloading and inventory accuracy during dispatch.
- Work closely with the warehouse team to maintain dispatch readiness and stock availability.
- Verify that goods are properly packed, labeled, and documented before dispatch.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain and verify all logistics-related documents (GRN, LR, invoice, POD, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with government and company policies (GST, e-way bills, transport regulations).
- Maintain accurate records for audits and internal reviews.
- Team & Vendor Management
- Supervise and train logistics and dispatch staff.
- Coordinate with drivers, transporters, and courier partners for smooth operations.
- Handle escalations related to transport delays, damages, or losses.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Track dispatch performance metrics such as on-time delivery, freight cost, and transit losses.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch and logistics reports.
- Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Customer Coordination
- Update customers or sales teams about dispatch status.
- Handle delivery-related queries, delays, and complaints.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through efficient and transparent communication.
- Safety & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all dispatch operations follow safety and quality standards.
- Conduct regular checks on vehicles and packaging conditions.
- Report and address any incidents or damages during transit.
Skills & Competencies Required
- Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation management.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel / ERP / TMS systems.
- Ability to handle multiple dispatches under pressure.
- Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Experience: Min 1 Year
Salary: 15K to 20K
