Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant will oversee and manage all financial aspects of the jewelry showroom, including accounting operations, inventory valuation, taxation, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in managing high-value inventory, and experience in tax compliance, particularly in the retail and jewelry industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting and Bookkeeping:
Maintain accurate financial records, including day-to-day accounting entries.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Manage cash flow, petty cash, and bank reconciliations.

Inventory Management:
Conduct periodic stock audits and ensure accurate valuation of inventory.
Reconcile inventory discrepancies and coordinate with the sales and purchase teams.
Ensure compliance with regulations related to inventory handling (e.g., GST on stock transfers).

Taxation and Compliance:
Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, and other statutory reports.
Ensure compliance with BIS hallmarking and other applicable laws.
Assist in preparing documents for audits (statutory, internal, and tax audits).

Financial Reporting:
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Provide management with periodic MIS reports for sales, expenses, and profitability.
Analyze financial data to assist in decision-making and strategy formulation.
